It was our first time purchasing a home and it can be very intimidating and scary.  There is a lot that goes into the process.  David showed us what to worry about the most and also not to sweat the small stuff.  He was very patient to listen to all of our questions (and there were MANY) and he answered them thoroughly with the experience he has gained from selling houses for 30 years.

 

I would like to hope that our situation was not the norm.  From when we started looking at houses all the way up until our closing day, it was just over 6 months.  And it wasn't because of a lack of trying.  David never once gave up on us.  There were times that we would look at 4-5 houses a day for 3-4 days out of the week. Once we were done looking for that day and David saw the "we didn't like any of these houses" look on our faces he just kept saying, "All right, let's move on to the next one."  Even when we started to think that we were never going to find a house (which there were A LOT of those thoughts), David would always lend an encouraging word, "there is a house out there that is perfect for you two and we are going to find it."  After a while. he said that he almost considered us his adoptive children because we were seeing each other everyday.


Throughout our entire home buying experience, we ended up putting bids in on 7 houses.  Yes, 7!  Two of them we put in separate bids twice!  David fought for us every step of the way - placing things in the contracts that we would have never thought about and also giving us endless advice along the way.
